For this project, I designed a poster to promote a jazz concert hosted by the Music Under the Stars (MUTS) program. The goal was to create an engaging and informative design that would capture the attention of music students and other students at school, encouraging them to attend the event. The poster needed to communicate key details such as the date, time, venue, and performers while generating excitement for the concert.
I focused on applying graphic design principles such as layout and composition, utilizing grids for alignment and consistency. This structure helped guide the viewer's eye through the poster while allowing for creative freedom in presenting the event details. The design aimed to balance the need for clear communication with a visually appealing, dynamic composition.
To convey the lively and energetic atmosphere of the jazz concert, I carefully selected vibrant colors that resonated with the emotions of excitement and enthusiasm. The thoughtful use of color contrasts and harmonies enhanced both the visual impact and legibility of the poster, making it not only a functional tool but also an eye-catching piece that captured the essence of the event.
